Uvita de Osa is a small village in southern Costa Rica. It is notable for hosting an annual music event (Envision Festival) and being home to the Cola de Ballena (Whale's Tail) also known as Moses’ Pass. It is the closest village to Marino Ballena National Park. Uvita was once considered "remote" but now features numerous grocery stores, banks, doctors, dentists, Internet cafe's and a thriving expat and local culture. Uvita has grown tremendously with many expatriates from northern America and Europe keeping vacation homes here. © Flickr/John R. Hutchinson, Jr.
