Contemporary art - Exhibitions at Pecci Museum

Few territories in Italy and Europe can boast an important contemporary art heritage like Prato and its territory due to the presence of the Centre for Contemporary Art "Luigi Pecci” and to the numerous works of art well integrated in the landscape and in the spirit of this place and these people. The experience offers to everyone, through the wonder and amazement of the aesthetic experience, the opportunity to develop their sensitivity and achieve autonomy and critical thinking skills. Exhibitions: From the cave to the moon - a tour itinerary through artistic forms that occupy and become part of the environment; a real dive into works of art that develop and replay through time, such as videos, actions and performances; it’s an invitation to make a direct in progress experience. The public will be able to enter Pecci Center's collection to get inspired by the works or to get involved in the combination of the proposed combinations, in an art exhibition rich in suggestions and revelations. The exposition develops between the ancestral time evoked by the legendary Cave of the Pinot Gallizio antimateria and the cosmic space anticipated by the Moon of Fabio Mauri.

Closer, Further - The Center for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci presents the first retrospective in Italy of one of the highest representatives of Polish art and experimental cinema, Józef Robakowski, by Bożena Czubak. Animation of the Polish progressive artistic movement, his research has led him to question about language, mechanics and movie, adding to these elements an interest in the avant-garde conceptual tradition filtered through the lens of authenticity and identity personnel.
