Well, no worries, let me present you a few beaches in Croatia where you can bring your dog with you. The dog-friendly beaches are rare, but still, there are some of them waiting for you and your pet and - the best holidays for dogs in Croatia can start.

Dog beach Šilo

Dog beach Šilo (Croatian: Pseća Plaža Šilo) is located in the Lokvišća street, in Šilo, on the Krk Island, that is easily approachable from both Zadar and Rijeka. This nice dog beach is only 15 minutes walking distance from the center of Šilo. Here, you can lay down with your dog, swim in the sea or just play with. No one will be bothered because of that. But, of course, like in any other beach, park or street, it's important to leave the beach clean. This beach doesn't have the working hours, but since it's without the lights, you should leave it before it gets dark. Additionally, you are obliged to put a muzzle on your dog and use the leash. Besides that, you have to clean after your dog.

Dog beach Crikvenica

Another one is the Dog beach Crikvenica (Crikvenica Pseća Plaža) or just Monty's dog beach & bar. It's a unique place because it has some special offers for your pet. Here, on the Crikvenica dog beach, your dog can enjoy a glass of beer for dogs or a portion of an ice-cream. So, after the swimming the whole afternoon, lay down on the sand and order a beer for both of you. The Crikvenica Dog beach is a very nice and small beach located on a walking distance from the center of Crikvenica.

Beach Punta Kolova

Another, a bit northern, dog-friendly beach is between Opatija and Ičići. It's a nice and cozy beach that both you and your dog will enjoy. And, why not a romantic dinner with someone important and a dog? A great combination to conclude your day.

I don't need to mention how important is the presence of the animals in our lives, even during the travels. But it's a bit complicate to combine these two. Before the trip, one has to put great efforts to book a flight, accommodation, all including the special permissions and a lot of papers for a pet. Luckily, we got the mindset that's been changing nowadays in a sense that those dog-friendly beaches are in the same way important and amazing. Now we can say that Croatia as well can be the best holiday destination for our dogs. Hopefully, in the future, we will have more dog-friendly beaches in Croatia and other parts of Europe.
