Rovinj is one of the most magical cities in whole Croatia. It is known as the most romantic place on the Adriatic coast. Additionally, it's the city where all your senses will be active, all the time. Music, food, architecture, sea, forests, history, and much more. Friendly advice, just visit Rovinj and treat your senses. As it was part of Italy until the last days of the WWII, it has a particular bilingual charm.

You will fall in love with this place by the moment you set your feet in The Old Town. Walking down the cobblestone paths of narrow allies, behind an every corner you will find a small square that waits for you, along with churches, little antique stores, and cafes. Don’t miss to visit the Church of St. Euphemia, the most important monument in Rovinj. This church has a tower that is a replica of the Church of St. Mark in Venice on the Piazza San Marco. On the top of the tower, there is the statue of St. Euphemia keeping an eye on the city. You can climb up the wooden stairs all the way to the top of the tower and take a look at the whole city. Try not to come here around noon, as your ears won’t appreciate the sound of ringing bells.

At the main town square, you can see a tower with a town clock located on the remnants of the city walls.

Around the square as in many streets, you can find unknown painters trying to reach you by selling their masterpieces.

Escaping the city rush, although there is no rush in Rovinj, you will find yourself in the park forest called Golden Cape (Zlatni Rt). In the 19th century, Georg Hütterott bought this land in order to build a spa. His death stopped the idea, but it is considered that Rovinj owes him a lot for the tourism development. In the Civic Museum, you can see the historical heritage of this place. It is opened in 1954 to show what this city experienced over the centuries.

From one small square, you can enter the Grisia Street, famous for artists that show their exhibitions, and rest in one of the adorable cafes. Every Sunday in August, the open-air exhibition is held along the street, and you can enjoy watching the magic. For the romantic souls, at the Valentino bay, where the Old Town rushes into the sea, you can grab a cousin and seat on the white rocks while drinking something from the nearby café. Watch the sunset. The perfect end of the perfect day.
