Maybe not the highest but officially the largest mountain (range) in Croatia – Velebit. Somehow amazing and so powerful-looking mountain. It feels like Velebit rises up from Adriatic Sea and heading to the sky. Its highest peak is on aprox. 1750 meters above sea level. Velebit is home for Velebit Nature Park and two national parks: Paklenica National Park and Sjeverni Velebit National Park.

It’s an endemic plant to this nature park and for its importance shows up on the coin – lipa (Croatian currency is kuna and coins are called lipa)
