Now that you know something about craft breweries in Croatia, the next step is to know where to drink craft beers in Zagreb. In many bars and pubs, you can find the beers for every occasion and everyone's taste - from dark stout, across lightly blurred wheat beer to light pilsner like. So, let's go to visit a few pubs, where you can try many kinds of craft beers but also have a nice meal.

Harat’s Pub

In the heart of Opatovina Street, there is a great Irish pub - Harat’s Pub. It is a part of famous Irish pub chain. Here, you can try the beers from everywhere. Live music and frequent promotions are some of the interesting things that this place offers.

Medvedgrad’s pubs

A pub called Mali Medo (Little Bear) in Tkalčićeva Street is everything but little. It belongs to the Medvedgrad brewery and is very popular especially because of its Mason’s burgers, very famous in whole Croatia.

Under the same brewery, there are three more pubs: Samoborska, named after the street where the pub and brewery are located, Fakin Craft Bar, with 24 tap barrels where you can prepare your own beer and Ilica, with itd green terraces for big groups.

The Red Apple Pub

The name is in English, but I don’t know the source of it. One thing I do know, their pizza is perfect, as well as the Red Apple burger. The offer of the craft beers is small but well-chosen, so here you can try the craft beers from Zmajska, Grif and San Servolo brewery, and also a few craft beers from abroad.

Pivana

Pivana pub dates back to 1892. It is an interesting fact that there was an electric lighting on the opening of this pub, almost 15 years before the whole city of Zagreb got it. Pivana is one of the oldest pubs in Zagreb and for sure it is the No.1 for chilling out with a mug of cold beer.

Tolkien’s House

If you like the knight stories or you wanted to be one as a child, you will love Tolkien’s House. It is located in the center of the city, in the front of the Park Opatova. It has the swords and armors all over the place. A list of beers in this pub is huge, from local craft beers such as Nova Runda (New Round) and all from Zmajska brewery to many craft beers from abroad. The staff is great and well-informed about the trends and will be very happy to give you a recommendation on what to choose in this beer ocean.

Of course, this is only a small number of places in Zagreb where you can drink craft beers. These pubs are mainly my choice where I feel comfortable and enjoy bringing my friends over. If the road takes you to the capital of Croatia, don’t miss to visit some of these places. I can assure you that you won’t regret!
