Welcome to Hotel Convento do Salvador

The Hotel, which is the result of the adaptation of one of the oldest convents in Lisbon, is a contemporary and comfortable development with several types of accommodation units, some of them especially suitable for families or for people with disabilities.

Located in the mythical district of Alfama, the Hotel is within walking distance of almost all tourist attractions in Lisbon: the historical districts, the Castle and the Sé, the typical restaurants and bars, the sites where you can hear Fado, Baixa Pombalina and the Commerce Square, the museums, the belvederes, the famous Electrical 28 that passes the door.

The Hotel Convento do Salvador is an innovative project in the Social Economy, aiming to support the activity developed by the Centro Convento do Salvador, which operates in the same building, and whose cultural programming is directed to children and youth.

The services that we provide of organization of meetings and events are possible through the articulation with this Youth Center, which has several types of spaces and equipment.

Both the Hotel and the Center belong to the Association for the Cultural Promotion of Children (APCC), which is an organization with a Public Utility and non-profit status (www.apcc.org.pt).

There is a varied set of works of art by the most prominent contemporary Portuguese artists scattered throughout the hotel's common and private areas.

To pay tribute to the Portuguese tiles, the Hotel Convento do Salvador invited the artist pair Pedrita to execute the large panel of the lobby.

The hotel also has works by Ana Hatherly, Ana Vieira, Ângelo de Sousa, António Costa Pinheiro, Bartolomeu dos Santos, Bela Silva, Eduardo Nery, Fernanda Fragateiro, Graça Morais, Helena Almeida, Ilda David, João Cutileiro, João Vieira, Jorge Martins, José de Guimarães, José Pedro Croft, José Rodrigues, Julião Sarmento, Júlio Pomar, Lagoa Henriques, Malangatana, Manuel Batista, Paula Rego, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Pedro Casqueiro, Pedro Proença, Rui Sanches and Xana.
