Singapore

A myriad of attractions packed into one island. Culture, gastronomy, nature, attractions, retail therapy, adventure and luxury, Singapore offers as much as you can take in....

It’s just a tiny red dot on the map, but Singapore offers more than enough to keep your itineraries filled for days on end. An award-winning aviation hub, the Southeast Asian island city-state has become a top tourist destination in the region and is well worth spending some time to discover. A haven for shopaholics, Singapore boasts a premier retail boulevard, Orchard Road, as well as more quirky shopping experiences in Little India’s Mustafa Centre. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Singapore Botanic Gardens, with its unique collection of orchids, including the national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim. Hop over to Sentosa Island, which is connected to the mainland by rail. It houses some major family attractions including the Universal Studios Theme Park, Singapore Sea Aquarium and the Adventure Cove Waterpark. Intrepid explorers can also venture out to some of Singapore’s ‘wilder’ islands, Pulau Ubin or Coney Island. Go museum hopping if you wish, there are some quirky ones like the Museum of Toys. And surely you can’t miss out on the must-sees of Singapore, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park. At the end of it all, do what Singaporeans love best, and go makan (eat) some of the local delicacies. There’s so much to do, you’ll only wish you had more time.
