The Czech Republic, also known as Czechia, is a landlocked nation state in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east and Poland to the northeast....

It is a unitary parliamentary republic, has 10.6 million inhabitants and the capital and largest city is Prague, with over 1.2 million residents. Iconic landmarks of Czech landscape are castles. Often situated on top of hills, many castles offer beautiful view of the countryside. Some of those castles are just ruins, but some are well-preserved with old interiors, furniture etc. Most picturesque and interesting are for example: Loket Castle, Karlštejn Castle, Kost Castle, Rabí Castle ruin, Český Šternberk Castle, and Pernštejn Castle… Also, actually almost every Czech town has its own Renaissance chateau.
