Museo Civico "Don G. Guarnieri" Caltavuturo

The Civic Museum "Don G. Guarnieri", located on the premises of the seventeenth-century convent of San Francesco, is on two levels. The 1st level is dedicated to the archaeological section and occupies four rooms on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. Here the historical-archaeological municipal district densely populated since prehistoric times are collected. The 2nd level is dedicated to the conference room and the exhibition rooms with an adjoining art gallery. A section of the 2nd level is dedicated to the "Geopark", minerals and fossils not only in Caltavuturo but throughout the Madonie area; Another section is devoted to MOPS, Museo dell'Opera dei Pupi Siciliani, Private Collection of Palermo type puppets.
