The Panelia Homeland Association's multi-stage success story began 60 years ago when the Panelian Museum Association was founded in 1956. After the end of the war, Panelia's female folk kept their sewing clubs decided to invite the teacher and banker Evert Harjunmaa to summon men and women interested in their home environment in the "discussion room". This club was founded by the Kiukaisten Kansalaisopisto fourth grade study district and the Panelia Museum Association. That fourth grade study circle convened on 18 July 1956 at the Panelia Cooperative Office. At that meeting it was decided to set up the Panelia Museum Association. Creating a museum was not a fresh idea because objects had been acquired much earlier. The Museum Association of the Panelia was registered in the Register of Associations on 21 November 1956.

Initially, the museum was in the premises of the Panelia Volunteer Fire Department's old drum room. In 1973, the museum's artefacts were moved to the Tarkin ridge owned by Länsi-Suomen Osuuspankki's panel office. In 1987, for the first time, a proposal was made to change the name of the museum association to the Panelia Homeland Association. The name change took place on 20 January 1994. In its present premises, the Museum of Panels Museum in Panama moved in 1999 when the premises were refurbished in the old ice storage facility of the dairy processing plant. Panelian Osuusmeijer's elegant, jugend-minded building was completed in 1908 and is one of the unique features of Panama's beautiful and idyllic village track.

There are more than 4,000 objects in the Panelia Homeland Museum, which belongs to the Panelia Homeland Society. The museum's collection of objects and images includes, among others, the Väinö Heiskan home-based museum, belonging to some 1,000 objects, and the poem Einari Hakanen as a whole. The Panelia Homeland Museum is also home to the exhibition "Kyl meil is before elect", local history and rural culture exhibit, the panel photographer Väinö Poutanen from Panelias for various years, the "Phone 100 Years" exhibition, showing the Kiukaiset kulttuuri (2000-100 eaa.). featuring handsets from the 19th century to the 21st century and Finland's 100-year anniversary exhibition in the early summer of 2017, a panel show from Panama's singer-songwriter Veikko Tuomen and a permanent exhibition about Finnish dancing culture.

The policy of the Panelia Homeland Association and the Local History Museum has always been to attract the living population of the local population to the past of the village of Panelia and its immediate surroundings, as well as to develop all aspects of the local area without forgetting its local features. Since its inception, the Panelia Homeland Museum has, for 60 years, been making valuable and important work in promoting the multi-stage history of the village of Pantheria and its surroundings, as well as in promoting, nurturing and developing the Satakunta cultural heritage.
