Teatro El Silo

Teatro El Silo, located in Pozoblanco Córdoba.

Inaugurated in September 2006 and conceived as a large space that gives access to different cultural activities in Pozoblanco, the study of the architects José Luis Amor and Juan Salamanca was carried out, after having approved its project for this Scenic Area in April of 2003. The Execution Project contemplates the construction of a new building, annexed to the old building of the Silo, construction made in the middle of the XX Century by the National Service of Wheat, to store cereal.  Taking into account the sensitivity of some cultural associations against the demolition of this building, El Silo, and given its architectonic typology of considerable proportions and cathedral air with a great impact on the urban landscape of Pozoblanco, its integration in the Space is carried out Scenic with a very successful and original rehabilitation. The result is an articulated set in three main volumes where the tower, with a strong representative load, acts as a vertical counterpoint to the evident horizontality of the rest of the volumes where the impressive spectators room, stage, technical spaces are integrated .. ..
