Casa Natal de Juan Ramón Jiménez

Birthplace of Juan Ramon Jimenez, where the poet was born on December 23, 1881 and lived until his 4 years, is located in the important, populous and seafaring street Ribera de Moguer. It is an interesting building, typical Andalusian building from the late nineteenth, with great influences of neomudéjar movement that is clearly visible in the central balcony of the facade, "Garfia Mudejar to master." It has a spacious central courtyard, a roof and "from the viewpoint see the sea". From there the family would reach the ship "San Cayetano" of their journeys.

Bank Street connected the port with the city and the rest of the city of Moguer. D. Victor Jimenez, father of nobel, had decided to build his family home here, to more easily run their successful businesses marketing and transport of distinguished wines Moguer.

In this space, "niñodios" imagined his "Casa Azul Marino", the color of his childhood. Juan Ramon immortalized in his masterpiece "Platero and I" in "La Ribera street." It is registered in the General Catalogue of the Andalusian Historical Heritage since 1996.
