Casa Rural Acebuche

In the small town of Casas del Monte, located in the Valle del Ambroz, in the province of Cáceres (Extremadura, Spain), famous for its exquisite strawberries and cherries, the Acebuche Rural Houses are located in a place of extraordinary natural simplicity, Half skirt of the Traslasierra mountains (at 750m altitude) in the north of Extremadura, specifically in the area called "Extremadura".             A quiet and peaceful place, surrounded by a lush vegetation of native trees: alders, chestnuts, oaks and bobbles among others.      Next to the wide gorge, the uninterrupted murmur of the water clashing against the rocks causes the dreamy traveler evocations that can begin with the visit to the Roman archaeological remains next to the Vía de la Plata (or Ruta de la Plata).     With many traditional trails that cross the whole term to explore them in quiet walks or by bicycle. And if you are attracted to more emotions, you have tracks for paragliding at the top of the mountain at an altitude of 1490 meters. Without a doubt, it is a dream destination for rural tourism.

    With wonderful sunsets where you can see the entire Ambroz Valley glimpsing in the distance the small town of Granadilla (walled town flooded by the Gabriel y Galán swamp, now converted into a workshop school) anteroom of the Jurdanas lands.

    Following the ancient silver road and after crossing the Roman arch of Cáparra, heading south, we can visit the medieval and stately city of Plasencia, nerve center of the whole area, which opens the way to two valleys, the valley of the cherry par excellence, the Jerte Valley and that of the imperial region of La Vera, and of course, the jewel of the vegetation and Mediterranean fauna that is the park of Monfragüe where you will enjoy the everlasting flight of eagles and vultures.

      On the other side, Hervás, with one of the most important Jewish neighborhoods in all of Spain and a little further north, in Castilian-Leonese lands, the Béjar textile, together with Candelario, which has a perfectly preserved popular architecture, under the protection of the La Covatilla ski resort, where you can enjoy winter sports, all within thirty minutes by the Ruta de la Plata highway (or Vía de la Plata).
