Establishment: 1800 Before the French cinema, this beautiful building located in the Gambetta district and designed by the architect Jean-Baptiste Dufart, was intended drama. Started in 1793, its construction was completed in 1800. On a triangular site, cinema facade, with its Doric columns and Ionic, is a superb example of classic Bordeaux. The main hall of the cinema is closed: this is truly the highlight of the show with a ceiling decorated by Emile Brunet in 1914 and remains its theatrical.
