The history of the Brasília Golf Club is perfectly in tune with the creation of this city. In 1957 the architect and urbanist Lúcio Costa conceived, in his project called Plano Piloto de Brasília - whose city it originated, and that was later inaugurated on April 21, 1960 by President Juscelino Kubitscheck de Oliveira - a space called CLUBE DE GOLFE DE BRASÍLIA .

Four years later, on March 11, 1964, a non-profit civil society was founded, called Brasília Golf Club, which has the duty of caring for this important public area, the assets of Brasilia and Brazilians. The Golf Club is an urban equipment that is part of the tipping of Brasilia, made by IPHAN - Institute of National Historical and Artistic Patrimony and by UNESCO, recognized as patrimony of humanity. It was up to the English architect, ROBERT TRENT JONES Senior, one of the greatest golf architects in the world, to be the designer of this beautiful course. Throughout Latin America only two golf courses were designed by him, and Brasília has the only one in Brazil. The field of 6,788 yards and par 72, has 18 holes with its classic distribution, ie two pairs 3 and two pairs 5 at each turn. The signature hole is difficult to choose, but hole 8, par 3, with 210 yards bordering Lake Paranoá is of unparalleled beauty and a constant challenge to golfers.

The 16th hole, par 5 with dogleg on the left, represents a classic Trent Jones that, with its raised green, could equally be another signature by the majestic sight.
