Stood on a steep cliff, surrounded by ancient architectural remains at the foot of a pine-forest mountain, Grand Villa Argentina is in the most prestigious part of Dubrovnik, just a ten-minute walk up hill from the Ploce Gate of the red-roofed Old Town.

The original Dalmatian villa is adjoined to its ‘sister’ – a modern building called Hotel Argentina. As soon as you walk into the reception, the incredible scenery stops you in your tracks. The breathtaking views of the Adriatic stretch from the island of Lokrum round to the Dubrovnik’s photogenic old harbour.

All around, our lush terraced gardens – with stone fences and secluded corners in which to sit – are teaming with lemon, wild orange, rosemary, lavender and bay leaf trees.
