Jazz Cultural Theatre of Bilbao is a cultural space founded by pianist and composer Joshua Edelman (Manhattan, 1954) and journalist and cultural manager Cristina Santolaria (Bilbao, 1964). Joshua Edelman, a disciple of legendary pianist Barry Harris and educator who founded the Jazz Cultural Theatre in New York in the eighties, based much of his teaching on the teachings he received from Harris and Joseph Prostakoff and its own investigations. Meanwhile, Cristina Santolaria provides an integrative view of the project in Bilbao as a model city of the XXI century.


Jazz Cultural Theatre of Bilbao offers a close teaching with a methodology encompassing jazz piano, improvisation for all instruments, jazz for children, children's theater, oratory, digital recording and other activities.
