Lo Spazio Vuoto

The Empty Space: a small theater in the center of Imperia was born in October 2009 in the premises which had housed a laundry room for fifty years. Designed and strongly backed as a beating heart in the city, home to the children's theater workshops, kids, adults, internships both in Italian language and English, shows for a few actors with minimalist scenes, concerts, meetings with artists, book presentations. The realization of a dream: a more active and live theater, which does not open its doors only to the representation of a show to close them again until the next. A tribute and thanks to the great master Peter Brook, because the empty space is what "allows you not only to travel the geographical and historical world, but to move without interruption from the outside to the inside, realistic universe, objective to subjective facts the imaginary, from the fragmentary real temporality to the fluid temporality of consciousness. " An empty space not therefore in Western emptiness as absence of life, but as the sum of all the possibilities, that from which arise the forms of life. In this theater company Teatro Unstable and we, Livia Carli and Gianni Oliveri, as directors, actors, teachers, administrators, secretaries, promoters, cleaning staff, porters, technicians, factotum ... and what is necessary, we find a space eventually our to work, try, test, host other companies and artists in a changing path. With us the architect and actor Sergio Raimondo, designer of the spaces with great rigor and professionalism.

Theater as synonymous with life, to meet, exchange and participation among people and different worlds because something might happen again and different at every show and why the concrete question, point of union between actor and spectator: "Has something happened?", You You can always answer "yes" the same for everyone. Something has happened, happens, happens.
