Musée Bonnat-Helleu, musée des beaux-arts de Bayonne

The museum is currently closed for renovation. In 2011, the Musée Bonnat became "Bonnat-Helleu Museum, Museum of Fine Arts of Bayonne." This new identity accompanies a major project for the collections and the building restructuring. The team is dedicated indeed to extensive work on the collections (over 6000 works) combining study, historical research, inventory and restoration. Scientific and architectural project is itself responsible for translating the new face of Bonnat-Helleu museum. To carry out these operations, the museum is currently closed to the public. Collections and documentation and cabinet designs are however accessible by appointment to all who request it.
