Musée des Beaux-arts

The Museum of Fine Arts has the [Museum of France] label.

The paintings, sculptures and drawings occupy the museum in the garden of the Palais Rohan, the current City Hall and provide a comprehensive overview of the main currents of Western art from the Renaissance to the present. Essential works from the sixteenth to the twentieth century, including Perugino, Velvet Brueghel, Pietro da Cortona, Van Dyck, Van Goyen, Rubens, Chardin, Magnasco, Corot, Delacroix, Matisse, Kokoschka, alongside a significant body of Rosa Bonheur Bordeaux artists , Odilon Redon, Albert Marquet, Andre Lhote.

The museum is currently undergoing extensive interior renovations. In December 2013, you will discover a completely redesigned and accessible museum.

Note: All reported temporary exhibitions are held at the GALLERY OF FINE ARTS, located across the Course of Albret, place du Colonel Raynal.
