A legendary surgeon
Located in the heart of the village of Beaudéan, Larrey Museum has awarded the "Illustrious House" in 2014, offers an evocation of the life of one of the most famous son of Bigorre.
Famous surgeon of Napoleon's armies, Baron Larrey distinguished himself on all battlefields. Animated by a true visionary, he was the creator of "flying ambulances" and the precursor of humanitarian medicine, nursing the wounded regardless of their nationality.
