While the official opening of the museum is scheduled for 2018, visitors can already enjoy exhibitions and contemporary art projects starting from September 2017. "L'inizio di una sedia" Exhibition

One of the first events held at the Museo Guido e Anna Rocca della Sedia Leggera di Chiavari is the collective exhibition titled "L'inizio di una sedia" (The Beginning of a Chair). Opening on September 16, 2017, this exhibition takes inspiration from Mark Strand's poetic text, "Blizzard of One." It invites visitors to delve into the traces of work, the history of Guido Rocca, and the impact of his craftsmanship on the economic and social fabric of the Chiavari community.

Engaging with Artists and History

Curators Mario Commone and Lara Conte have invited four artists, Jacopo Benassi, Lorenzo D'Anteo, Marco Andrea Magni, and Beatrice Meoni, to engage with the chair object and the museum's historical context.
