The Manuel Piña Museum offers the vision of the professional and artistic career of the designer from La Mancha, one of the most important figures of Spanish fashion from the late 70s to the early 90s of the last century. The original idea of the Museum is due to Manuel Piña himself, who could not see the dream of seeing his costumes and memories housed in a museum space. The collections kept and exhibited by the Museum are the result of a donation generously made by the creator's family, as well as contributions from collaborators and friends. Dresses and accessories, photographs and videos, make up an interesting permanent exhibition housed in a singular space: the old cellars of a manor house, inside the Ciega de Manzanares Cultural Center. Manuel Piña's creations are unique and exceptional, many of them handmade, where fashion and art mix. Her costumes and dresses reflect her memories and influences, from La Mancha of her youth, from traditions and folklore. But they also show the new trends of a renewed Spain, of the new woman and of the most innovative cultural and artistic trends. The Museum has a guided tours service for small groups, upon reservation. Admission to the museum is free.
