Plaza de Toros de Valencia

The Bullring Valenciafue built between 1850 and 1860 [3] on the site of a previous square that budget problems never completed. It is neoclassical, inspired by the Roman civil architecture, Flavio Marcelo theater (Coliseum) [4], or the amphitheater of Nimes (France). It was built by architect Sebastian Monleón Valencia Estellés. It is a polygonal body 48 sides, with more than 17 meters high and 52 in diameter of the ring. With these dimensions make it one of the largest squares in Spain.

Currently it is owned by General Hospital, being administered by the Provincial Council of Valencia. Its current capacity is 12,884 seats. A fire in 1946 destroyed the stands and it was not until 1968 when it proceeded to its expansion. [5]

During the passage of the years, management has been alternating, having been managed both by private companies and by direct management by the own Council of Valencia. Since 1995 it is private enterprise. [Citation needed] His bullfighting posters are the most popular in Spain. [Citation needed]

It is located next to North Station Valencia. Access to lines 3 and 5 MetroValencia (station Játiva).
