ZACARÍAS. "KITCHEN OF TASTE" NATIONAL GASTRONOMY AWARD 2007 Restaurant and Tavern founded in 1989 by Zacarías Puente and Inés Villanueva, being a new form of expression of the traditional flavors of the cuisine of Cantabria its great merit and flag. This immense work, has been recognized among others with the National Gastronomy Award in 2007 and with La Cruz to Agrarian Merit granted by His Majesty The King Don Juan Carlos I.    Since July 2015, the New Generation Zacarias, led by its children, runs this emblematic house, offering an authentic Cantabrian gastronomy where the products from "the sea to rocks up", become a delight of flavors.     In the two completely renovated environments (Tavern and Gastronomic Restaurant), "Always Zacarias" dishes are offered, such as Tomato de Palenque, Bocartes, Maganos with onions, Fisherman's Stews, Cocido Montañés and Lebaniego, Cantabrian Fish and magnificent meats of Vaca Tudanca ( Cantabrian autochthonous race).   The "Zacarías Evolución" dishes such as hake and prawns ceviche with cilantro and tomato puree, the northern tuna tataki with lemon mustard, sautéed prawns enchiplotlados and tudanca wok sautéed with chutney and soy, bring us closer to exotic cuisines so appreciated today.   Our wine cellar represents an interesting journey through the great Denominations of origin and Spanish and international Wines of the Earth.
