Jerez Cathedral dates from the 18th century and combines Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical styles. It was built between 1695 and 1778 upon the original church of El Salvador, which had already been built on the site of the main mosque that existed in the city during the Muslim period.
Inside, the chapels of the Ánimas, the chapel dedicated to Cristo de la Viga, the chapel of the Inmaculada and the chapel of the Sagrario are of interest. In addition, the Mudejar tower, built separately from the rest of the buildings, is an opportunity to enjoy excellent views of the oldest part of the city. © iStock / Rudolf Ernst
