The center for researching theater work is a research and expert unit. The Center for Exploratory Theater Work began its activity in the autumn of 2007 as a project for the Acting Worker. The Center will develop practices related to the theatrical arts, production and technical operation culture. At the same time, university-level research and publications are produced as part of basic and postgraduate degrees.
Collaborative projects are carried out broadly together with theater education, research and professional theaters. Cooperation is regional, national and international.
The projects of the Research Theater Center have a clear link to working life. The project teams include both individual artistic and coordinating technical and productive research materials. The resulting results and practical innovations will benefit the arts factors, producers and viewers.
Riku Roihankorpi is head of the Research Theater Center.
