AnchorPoint Surf School & Surf House

AnchorPoint Surf School & Surf House is located in a small fishing village called Vila Praia de Âncora in the north of Portugal.

It is a Surf School and Local Accommodation with a family atmosphere, located in front of the beach, where we offer various services, such as surf lessons and stand up paddle, board rental, bicycles and kayaks. We also have other activities like yoga and tours.

We have the necessary conditions so that you can spend a quiet holiday in the company of your friends or family in front of the beach, you can enjoy the best that the sea and the beach provide or visit the most touristic places of the region and / or make a beautiful A tour of the mountain, visiting the waterfalls and sampling some of the local gastronomy.

SURF LESSONS

Our classes are taught by a Sports Technician, with a degree in Sports Science and training in the Portuguese Surfing Federation. These have a maximum of 6 students per instructor, in this way we guarantee a faster learning and, above all, more secure.

The great goal of this school and its teachers is to provide everyone with the fantastic and exciting experience of surfing. In an initial phase, this one passes to transmit to the students the basic notions of the technique, of the conditions of the sea, security and surrounding materials. We employ teaching methods with innovative techniques, used and recommended by great instructors with great experience, who aim at the evolution of the student in the shortest time. We assign levels of learning with different contents that accompany the technical and tactical evolution of our students.

AnchorPoint Surf School & Surf House is located in Vila Praia de Âncora, north of Portugal. It's a small villa with a large seaport. We offer the best conditions, Anchor Point is placed right in front of the beach (you just have to cross the road). You can enjoy a beautiful view over the beach including watch the sea conditions without needing to leave home.

You can find excellent restaurants with fresh fish, walk along the coast with a beautiful view or visit the mountains, where you can enjoy incredible landscapes with rivers and waterfalls with clear water.

SURF SCHOOL

Classes provided by instructor graduated in Sport Sciences with formation in the Portuguese Surfing Federation. Classes with maximum of six students per Instructor, so we ensure a better and safer learning.

The school's and instructors' main goal is to provide everyone the fantastic and thrilling experience that is Surf. On an initial level we focus on transmitting to our students the basic about technique, ocean conditions, safety and equipment usage. We train our beginner and intermediate students by adapting pedagogic and didactic techniques that improve our teaching and coaching methods. On a more advanced level we follow our student with more refined of all technical details and physical preparation.
