B&B Il pozzo & la macina

The well and the mill is a bed & breakfast run by Chiara and Stefano, located in Bardi, in the province of Parma, in the extraordinary natural setting of Valceno. The name chosen for the location derives from the last intended use of the building: a wheat mill.

The structure, dating back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, was originally a brick and lime kiln; past ownership of several families has subsequently remained unused for some decades.

A careful and philologically respectful restoration of materials and interior spaces, launched at the beginning of 2016, has brought it back to life.

The property is characterized by the private house, where the breakfast room and the cellar are set up, and by the old rustics, converted into two independent rooms with private toilets, which is flanked by the owners' business office.

Everything is immersed in a flat area a few tens of meters from the river Ceno, from an adjoining wooded area and is only 5 minutes drive from the historic center of Bardi, renowned for the homonymous Castle, for centuries owned by Landi.

Believing in the potential of this area of ​​intact beauty and tranquility, located on the Ligurian-Emilian Apennines, ideally located along the lines that lead to the Ligurian Sea, Tuscany and Parma city of art, the goal is to provide friendly hospitality and an atmosphere of peace and genuine simplicity.
