Castello di Bobbio

The historical documentation of the old castle that was of the Malaspina then the accounts dal Verme in Bobbio is eloquent of the individual phases of construction. Historiography reports that the original building began in 1304 in the upper part of Bobbio by Corradino Malaspina first "ladies" of the city, perhaps in collaboration with Viscount Pallavicino. The structure and the original proportions of the fort were lower than the current ones, resulting from progressive extensions over the centuries.
