Eva Vautier Galerie Eva Vautier     "I was born in Nice in 1965 in a bubbling artistic pool. Well sign me at the age of three months as a living sculpture. Immersed from childhood in the For and Against, the Window, Tondutti street and Escarène Saint Pancras successively meeting the artists of the School of Nice, Supports Surfaces, Figuration and the Fluxus group, I listened, observed. I attended their passionate debates that have shaped my mind and were part of the art history. I then developed a warm relationship with the artists of my generation, including my friends from the station, where I participated in organizing exhibitions. This allowed me to meet young artists from different backgrounds. I worked alongside my father on his catalog raisonné, numerous exhibitions, publications and his gallery "Space to Debate", 2 rue Vernier.   All this together led me to open my own gallery in the same place, providing a contemporary art exhibition space. So it will be at the heart of the neighborhood of the Liberation, warm and alive that this space will host six major exhibitions a year with young emerging artists and some more experienced, the Fluxus group, the Free Figuration ... Events will punctuate the exhibition : performances, concerts, videos evenings, dance, debates, poetry readings and a reading area for those who want to take the time to find catalogs of artists and videos.   Many other ideas are maturing with my desire to make art more accessible by putting in place a art library, and by offering each new exhibition, an original lithograph by the artist. My ambition for the gallery: it becomes a search space to overflow, creating, sharing and listening. I'll put a lot of energy to make this a living place, a necessary step in Nice where art will be present and accessible to all who passed through the gate.
