The APACHETA -of Quechua apachita- is a pile of stones placed one on top of the other, forming a monolith, built by the indigenous travelers of the Andes as an offering and petition for the Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (gods of the mountains ) give them their protection; they are sacred monuments that were built by thousands on the banks of the Inca Trail. From them it takes its name HOTEL APACHETA. We are on the southern coastal edge of the city of Arica, between La Lisera and El Laucho beaches, on the sandy beach of Playa Feliz, a 15 minute walk from the center of the city. Focused both on the attention of passengers who come to know the interesting natural and cultural attractions of the region, as well as those tourists of special interests, who come looking for the various sports attractions of the area: surfing, paragliding, trekking, mountain biking, diving , climbing. We have a privileged location. We are in front of El Buey, one of the main waves for surf lovers, which is possible to enter directly from the hotel. Behind us are the best hills for paragliding throughout the year. The adjoining rocks are a refuge for a great variety of seabirds, which has been one of the main bird watching spots on the Arica coast. Our hotel is built entirely of wood and its main design criteria are sustainability, efficient use of energy and respect for the environment. The hotel has 18 rooms, all with sea view and private bathroom, divided into three types: standard (superking bed), double (two beds of one and a half square) and shared room (with four beds of one and a half square) . In addition, Apacheta has a specially equipped room for people with physical disabilities.
