During the tour of La Fábrica de Luz, the visitor will be able to discover how electricity was produced from coal at the beginning of the last century and to know the peculiarities of the society of that time; what their lives were like, how they worked, how they were enjoying themselves, and how the use of a natural resource such as coal was the engine of change for a territory and its inhabitants.

The restoration of this facility, which retains the original elements of the plant, has been recognized by the European Union with the Europa Nostra 2012 award for its careful, unique and unique rehabilitation. In addition, La Fábrica de Luz has been nominated for the best European museum of the year 2015 at the EMYA (European Museum of the Year Award).
