Museo de Medallística "Enrique Giner"

Located on the chapel of Sant Miquel, "el Fuerte", the Medalist Museum was born as a result of the constitution of the legacy of Enrique Giner, a prominent sculptor and medalist, on April 15, 1989, but the inauguration of the museum did not is carried out until 1995. This legacy is the basis of the museum's current collection, which has the singularity of being a monographic museum of this type of sculptural specialty. In addition to the medals and legacy material (drawings, sculptures, plates, documentation and material related to his work) by Enrique Giner, the museum contains an important collection of medals with such outstanding artists as: Boldu, Bernini, Roty , Perera, Bianchi, Prieto, Paredes, Drospi, Pallàs, Mistruzzi, Bourdelle, Benlliure, Perrini, Subirachs, Tàpies, Chillida and Salvador Dalí. In the collection of medals, we have to add the magnificent collection of Valencian figurative sculpture of the twentieth century, the result of the donation and legacies of the students and colleagues of the sculptor Giner. It should be noted names such as those of Carmelo Vicent, Octavio Vicent, Gonzalvo, Esteve Edo, Silvestre de Edeta, Viciano, Adsuara, Colón, Ferrero, Tusset, and for the abundance of works especially those of Vicent Perelló Lacruz and Ramón Ma tu.
