Museo del Mare

The "Museum of the Sea" - widely deployed in the complex of the Wholesale Fish Market at the North Pier of the port city - is a museum complex that the City Council of San Benedetto del Tronto has dedicated to the sea. It includes the Antiquarian Truentinum, the Museum of amphorae, the Fish Museum "Augusto Capriotti", the Museum of Civilization Marinara Marche and it is also part of the Art Gallery of Sea although housed in the premises of "Palazzo Piacentini" to "High Country" of the city. The "Museo del Mare" is accompanied, at the South Pier, the Museum of Art on the Sea (MAM) which is a real contemporary art museum jutting into the Adriatic Sea.
