[ITA] The Landscape Museum was created not by chance that in the extremely significant one of the most typical Sienese and Italian landscape, the extreme southern edge of Chianti and in the vicinity of the Crete Senesi. The exhibition, through panels, graphics and reconstructions maquettes, photographs, films and documents, aims to promote critical awareness of a prestigious area: special attention deserves the deepening of the concept of humanized landscape; on its representation in art, literature and cinema; on shared planning (think of the European Landscape Convention of 2000) and the concept of sustainability. Inside the museum is located an archaeological section that collects the materials found in the area, arranged in significant areas, in order to illustrate the historical evolution of the sites from prehistory to the Middle Ages, through the Etruscan and Roman times, among which kit found in Etruscan tomb of Bosco Le Pici (VIII_VI century BC)

Guided tours in language, educational workshops for primary and secondary schools, training courses for adults and children, excursions, events and activities that capture the interdisciplinary nature of the concept of "landscape".

[ENG] The Landscape Museum is located, not coincidentally, in the meaningful context of one of the most typical Sienese and Italian landscapes, on the southernmost edge of Chianti and near the clay fields known as the Crete Senesi. The course through the museum makes use of panels, graphic reconstructions, scale models, photographs, films and documents to foster a knowledgeable awareness of a prestigious geographical area. Special attention is focused on the concept of humanized landscape, its representation in art, literature, and film, and on participatory planning (for example the European Landscape Convention ADOPTED in 2000) and ecological sustainability. Inside the museum is an archeological section containing materials found in the countryside, arranged according to Functional area, exemplifying the historical evolution of the sites from proto-historic to medieval times and embracing the Etruscan and Roman periods. Especially interesting is the display of burial objects found in the Etruscan tomb at Forest Le Pici (dated between the eighth and the sixth centuries BC).
