Museo internazionale dell'etichetta del vino

Born in 1987 in Cupramontana, capital "historic" if not rated Marche wine probably most famous in the world, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, a unique museum and, at least for now, one of a kind. The International Museum of the label (wine), whose conception is due to the historical and art critic Armando Ginesi, is based at the central Leoni Palace, the Municipal Property Administration, and is placed under the competence of the Office to economic activities. The sixty thousand gathered labels compose the three sections into which it is divided the Museum: a historic first section, including examples from the last century, an artistic section with unique examples made precisely by artists and not for resale, and finally the sector more substantial, with more than forty labels from virtually all over the world. Like any devotion, public or private demands, we should remember the person who has contributed to the creation of the Museum: Mr. Franco Rossi was, in fact, passionate collector, wine expert as well as labels, caretaker of a memory which, through images different, and more and more naive going back over the years, has reported to the years when the wine, in Cupramontana, was strong element of the cultural identity of many, and empirical expertise gained in recognizing, comparing, evaluating wines approached this territory the French wine-producing areas, in which respect for the material culture and ability to experience differences and similarities were and are common heritage.
