Museu Inimá de Paula

The INIMÁ PAULA MUSEUM, inaugurated in 2008, gathers in Belo Horizonte a permanent collection dedicated to the painter Inima, giving a complete panorama of his life and work. About 80 works of the artist are exhibited, accompanied by the reassembly of his Atelier, Room of Self-portraits and Virtual Gallery.

After the registration of almost two thousand works in six years and the historical edition of two volumes of cataloged works, the board of INIMÁ DE PAULA FOUNDATION (1998) began the viabilization of the museum that perpetuates the great work and life history of this great mining painter

Creating, installing and maintaining a museum for the permanent exhibition of works and items belonging to the FUNDAÇÃO INIMÁ DE PAULA collection was a dream come true. A place worthy of the artist, where his works, documents, photographs, books, personal objects and instruments of work are stored and displayed, thus guaranteeing his history and integrity.
