farm Ponterosa old heart in a contemporary look  The building, partly expanded, has undergone a major restructuring in order to adapt it to modern standards of accommodation and comfort. In particular, it was taken care of the energy aspect, redeveloping the old load-bearing masonry structure of brick, with a thermo coat 12 cm thick, while the coverage, extremely sensitive component of every building, has been protected with an insulating layer thickness of about 20 cm. The wooden porch on the south side, guarantees winter protection to the elements and passive shading in the summer, in order to reduce the radiation exposure resulting solar and internal heat in the hottest periods. New wooden window frames with high thermal efficiency and acoustics, complete the building envelope efficiency framework. Further attention was devoted to the equipment of renewable energy sources, such as an integrated photovoltaic system on the roof and an adequate number of solar panels to produce hot water.  Overall it was decided to transform an originally energivorous building a new environmentally friendly architectural organism, able to produce on site most of the energy it consumes, with the benefit of the environment and society as a whole and immediately perceptible consequences by users in terms of comfort and welfare housing.  In the Spring of 2012 we will complete the work of the new Ponterosa.  The recovery of rainwater and drainage will flow into an underground tank that will supply water for the garden and the garden.  A renovated swimming pool with water purification plant with sea salt; It will provide visitors with a reason to stay in a natural relaxation.
