Ripon City Golf Club

Located on the northern edge of the ancient Cathedral city, beautiful and peaceful rural surroundings provide the perfect backdrop to a spectacular golf course. Members and Visitors always receive a warm welcome at Ripon.

Recently described as an “absolute gem ” in the golfing media, the course provides an excellent test for players of all abilities and continues to receive accolades particularly for the greens which are excellently presented all year round by Richard and his team.

The natural topography allows the presentation of some challenging holes and exciting greens, while players can enjoy spectacular perspectives of the North Yorkshire Moors, the Cathedral, and surrounding countryside.

Major enhancements have been made in recent years and these continue into 2015, when the 5th and 7th holes - already 2 fine par 3’s - will see new bunkering and enhanced green presentation. The course drains superbly, rarely closes, sees very few restrictions, and does not use mats in winter.

New members are always welcome, with options to suit everyone from beginner to experienced golfer, and for both regular and occasional players. Fees are extremely competitive and provide tremendous value for the excellent course and facilities. There is currently no joining fee, and all memberships include a discount card for food and drink.

Golfers can participate in a wide variety of competitions both at individual and Inter-Club levels. Every section is well supported, and a great "roll-up" culture exists allowing new members to quickly integrate into the club.

The spacious lounge and bar areas offer spectacular panoramic views over no less than four greens - the perfect place to relax after golf and enjoy the very best in Yorkshire hospitality and home cooked cuisine.

The clubhouse is the perfect, peaceful venue for private functions. Wedding parties, celebration events and dinners. Society and business meetings are all welcome and the club are happy to discuss individual requirements to ensure a perfect experience.
