Strath Glebe is situated in the tranquil and stunningly beautiful Strath Suardal just 2.5miles outside Broadford, Isle of Skye on the Torrin Road (B8083).

Our high standard accommodation compliments the magnificent scenery, abundant wildlife and rich archaeological and cultural history of the area. We feel so fortunate to live here that we pinch ourselves every now and again to make sure that we aren’t dreaming. And we are sure you will fall in love with the beauty of this place too when you stay@strathglebe.

Our ground-floor en-suite family bedroom offers magnificent views of the stunning Red Cuillin: Beinn na Caillich, Beinn Dearg Mhòr and Beinn Dearg Bheag and the spectacular ridge of the Black Cuillin outlier Blà Bheinn. There is also the hauntingly beautiful Loch Cill Chriosd with its small island where once a Crannog stood and the ruin of Cill Chriosd (Christ’s Church) and the graveyard where MacKinnon clan chiefs like Lachlan Mor now rest.

Our comfortable lounge includes the usual audio and visual facilities, games and a well-stocked library of local and Scottish books. A wide choice of breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining area which offers even more of the same stunning views enjoyed in the bedroom.

Our 48.5 acres of land is also home to chickens and depending on the time of year cows (including Highland) and sheep. We also have a dog and two farm cats. The local wildlife includes red deer, rabbits a plenty, the occasional fox and an abundance of birdlife including buzzards, ravens, herons, chaffinches, robins, lapwings, curlews and many more.

Our household also encourages the use of Gaelic and our children are being educated through the medium of Gaelic. So if you plan a visit to nearby Sabhal Mòr Ostaig you can be sure of a warm Gaelic welcome when you stay@strathglebe.

We are open all year round, so whenever you want to visit the amazing Isle of Skye and enjoy all it has to offer, make Strath Glebe your first choice for that quality bed and breakfast experience.
