İZMİR MÜŞÜŞEHİR MUNICIPALITY AHMED ADNAN GREAT ART CENTER

Ahmet Adnan Saygun Art Center of the Metropolitan Municipality of İzmir is a long-standing think breech about sanata. Aziz Kocaoglu, with the same enthusiasm, has made this dream of late Mehmet Piriştina and made it an art center not only of the city but also of Turkey's best concert hall.

The project architect, Tevfik Tozkoparan, has now succeeded in transforming the trolleybus garage and maintenance workshop into a center of artistic activity. Moreover, in doing so, instead of building it as an architectural element, it has given properties suitable to the way of life of the Izmirans.

AASSM stands out with its extensive galleries that will host plastic and contemporary arts as well as a concert hall with a lively acoustic project. The fact that Istanbul Modern collection as the opening exhibition and the leading works of plastic arts in Turkey from 1950 to the present day are exhibited gives clues about the project's future projection. Sergin's curator was Levent Çalıkoğlu, chef curator of Istanbul Modern.

The concert hall of AASSM's jewelery has emerged as a truly eye-catching concert hall, from the projecting stage. The acoustics project is undertaken by the well-experienced Arup firm; the platform on which the orchestra will be placed, and the structure that is analyzed according to the instrument to be played on it. In the concert hall prepared for the realization of the infrastructure high level concert recordings, an aeration system which was taken from the standpoint of ventilation, acoustical quality and designed from the feet of the seats was applied.

The elevated section in front of the stage contributes to the enrichment of the hall with its different functions. The musical festival of the hall is planned in accordance with the performance of a symphony orchestra, with the place behind the stage and where the koron will settle; on the feelings of music lovers located on seats placed in harmony with the auditorium's acoustic project, specially selected from fabric to wooden sections. In this fiction disabled citizens are not forgotten; both the art lovers and the handicapped artists have been designed in such a way that they can easily be reached in every space.

The rest of the art lovers will be able to perform in the same way, and the artists have not been convicted of narrow corridors or tight locker rooms. With its spacious and ergonomic locker rooms and backstop, as well as the large cafeteria dedicated to the use of artists, AASSM offers the respect that artists deserve.

City Square The city square, defined by a 250 year old olive tree, is a favorite breathing place for warm spring days or hot summer evenings. Moreover, the pool filled by the water flowing from the wall, where a beanon inspired by the Yunus Emre Oratorio is located, will comfort the residents around.

Ahmed Adnan Saygun Statue Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center offers a texture that is a harmonious dance of circles and quadrangles in the architectural context. On the eastern side of the large area in front of the building, those who came to the center opened their arms like laps; The orchestra conductor Saygun meets sculptured art lovers. The sculpture made by İzmir sculptor Ekin Erman with a length of more than three meters, formed by the way out of the shadows of the sculpture's wall, carved in the wall immediately behind, while Saygun's musical character was highlighted; is reminiscent of almost dancing dancers, making a strong reference to Saygun's ethnomusic side.
