B&B Fontana la Stella

Located in a nineteenth-century building built on the sixteenth-century walls, it overlooks Via Fontana the Stella so called for the presence of a fountain, from which water flows from the source of Sant'Angelo, and located at the foot of the Madonna della Stella sanctuary. Going down the steps that start from Via Lettieri and along the walls, you reach the last bastion remained standing for the presence of the fountains below that supplied the district of Sant'Andrea. From the B & B you can enjoy a fantastic view of the imposing hill of Botromagno, inhabited by the ancient peuceti before being subjected to Rome with the name of Silvium, at whose feet stretches the ravine "Gravina" with its mysterious and suggestive caves. The show becomes extraordinary looking at the complex of the Madonna della Stella, already lived in the pagan era as we can remember the few symbols still visible. You reach this church-sanctuary crossing the viaduct-aqueduct bridge built by the Orsini dukes in 1700 to connect the banks of the ravine on whose bottom flows the homonymous torrent. From this building one can admire the archaeological site on the edge of the ravine called "Father Eternal" for the rock church present there.
