FondoVito Bed & Breakfast - Gravina in Puglia

Fondo Vito B & B is a structure located in the heart of the historic center of Gravina in Puglia.

A wonderful restoration has allowed the recovery of three rooms in a characteristic house in the medieval district of Fondo Vito. In the three rooms, Civico 1, Civico 3 and Civico 13, the most recurring and characterizing choice of the project is the use of the indigenous recycled material that often occurs in a "philological" manner: Tuff and Stone are contaminated with original wooden artefacts and they make the most of the few pieces of high contemporary design inserted, never invasive, often also these wonderful works of local artisans. A respectful recovery not only of the materials but also of the history of the place, which demonstrates how, through a correct restoration of the inhabited area, one can materialize the love for one's own land, protecting it and making the most of it. A place that is characterized by a precise identity and philosophy, which implies a return to slow, ancient rhythms and ways of living that make respect for places and the recovery of traditions, the basis for a new lifestyle.

Fondo Vito B & B is a very quiet and welcoming property, but still located within walking distance of the nightlife spots of the country, the walking area full of pubs, bars and restaurants. Breakfast is served in an important café in front of the B & B. Each room is equipped with all comforts: flat TV, mini bar, air conditioning, desk, bathroom with shower, Wi-Fi.

The location of the structure is unique and allows, in a few steps, to enjoy the best of this ancient and noble city: its museums, the Cathedral, the many churches including the rock of San Michele delle Grotte (just 100 meters), the naturalistic and rocky park of the Gravina, with the seventeenth-century Orsini Bridge. Finally, the traditions and gastronomy of the territory, authentic added value. In the surroundings of Gravina, the beautiful Alta Murgia National Park awaits you; only 20 km away, the Sassi di Matera, Unesco World Heritage. Also in half an hour drive you reach Castel del Monte and Bari, city of San Nicola, with its international airport. One hour by car, however, allows you to reach Alberobello, the Valle d'Itria and the beautiful beaches of Puglia.
