The art center Bastille (cab) is a contemporary art center in the heart of the Bastille of Grenoble, military fort built between 1823 and 1848 which is accessed by one of the oldest urban cable cars in the world.

Installed in bunkers vaulted stone sizes, the cab will discover or rediscover, through an annual program of solo and group exhibitions, the richness and diversity of contemporary art.

The cab, which is not only a unique architecture that renews the look that you wear on contemporary creation, it is also an available team that accompanies each visitor who wishes in his discovery exhibitions by playing the card of mediation between artistic experience and public.

The center of Bastille art is as follows:

• 5 exhibitions a year,
• Over 250 artists featured, French and international,
• More than 50 works produced,
• Support for artists, especially young creative and innovative approaches,
• Events: concerts, performances, dance shows ...

The center of Bastille art, it's also:

• Implantation of the first tourist and cultural site of the Isère (600,000 visitors per year)
• An accessibility policy of culture with more than 10,000 annual visitors,
• Personalized support visitors
• An awareness initiative aimed at young audiences and school age
• The artistic workshops open to all,
• The training of more than 90 young students in professionalizing internship,
• A cultural center supported by the City of Grenoble, the Regional Council of Rhône-Alpes, the General Council of Isere and the Ministry of Culture / DRAC Rhône-Alpes
• An art center within the network of DCA french art centers.
