Galleria Boxart

Founded in 1995 by the current owner George Gaburro and direct, since 2006, along with Beatrice Benedetti, Boxart presented over the years the works of the greatest Italian exponents of contemporary art (Giulio Turcato, Mario Schifano, Mimmo Rotella, Emilio Isgrò) and the most interesting artists of successive generations (Sandro Chia, Marco Cingolani, Andrea Facco, Mauro Fiorese).

After a decade of research, since 2006 Boxart opened to international names, such as the Austrian shareholder Hermann Nitsch, whose Boxart has organized exhibitions and performances, while the Korean Kim Joon and the famous Chinese artists Gao Brothers and Liu Bolin have done with the gallery their show debut in Italy.

Online Business Guide is the concept of project gallery: each project comes from the interplay between artist, curator and artistic director, and is designed specifically for the exhibition of Boxart spaces in the historic center of Verona, or to large institutional reviews in places consistent with the message and the artist's intervention.

Among the museum collaborations, remember that with the Musée d'Art Moderne in Saint-Etienne (France), the MART in Rovereto (Hermann Nitsch. 64.Malaktion, 2012), with the HC Andersen Museum in Rome (Liu Bolin. Hiding in Italy, 2012) and the national modern art Gallery (Emilio Isgrò. Model Italy 2013-1964, 2013).

In 2014 Steve Sabella to receive the invitation from the International Centre Scavi Scaligeri in Verona for his first solo exhibition in an Italian museum: Archaeology of the future. 2015 opens with the exhibition "The Dreamers Sleep Here" by Andrea Mastrovito to H. C. Andersen Museum in Rome, which brings to life the family epic, dreamy sculptor Hendrik Christian Andersen, to treat the universal theme of utopia.

In 2015 the Boxart gallery turns 20 years old, was in fact created in 1995. An exhibition entitled "2x10", celebrates the twentieth anniversary, involving ten of the names who have participated in these two decades of history. For the occasion, the space has been renewed by a thorough restoration.
