Golden Tulip Braga Hotel & Spa

The Golden Tulip Braga Hotel & SPA was built in the ruins of the Franciscan Convent of Santa Maria Madalena, located between the sanctuary of Santa Maria Magdalena and the Chapel of Santa Marta de Leão, of the Monte, built at the end of the 18th century by D. Miguel.

It is part of its history that, at that time, hostel services were provided to complement religious events and also for resting and therapy of respiratory diseases, because the area has, given the fresh air, a favorable microclimate.

The Convent's trademarks are still well visible inside the Hotel through the decoration, with the almost museological display of religious icons and the use of stone walls and interior gardens, but also for the maintenance of the harmonious Chapel of Saint Anthony of Peace.
