Golf Gastein

The Golf Club Gastein is one of the oldest golf clubs in Austria: in 1960, the architect Bernhard von Limburg put it at the gate of the National Park "Hohe Tauern" as a 9-hole course. Only 42 years later, it was expanded to 18 holes and - as golfers repeatedly confirm - perfectly adapted.

Spectacular and picturesque: the 18 fairways demand full concentration despite the impressive mountain scenery. Enjoyment golf is announced on the fair course in the Gasteinertal. The holes 1 to 9 offer generous tracks and large, sometimes more undulating greens. Especially the par 5 (hole 3, 7 and 8) are a real challenge. Lanes 10 to 18 are rather short, but they have smaller greens and narrower fairways, which requires a precise game.

The successful change between hilly tracks and levels, slopes and relaxing fairways make the course so varied for all levels. Old trees, many small mountain streams and the dense alluvial forest promise not only sporty an unforgettable experience. Unforgettable are the well maintained fairways and greens and the breathtaking, unique views from every tee in all directions.
