Hellenic Culture

From 1981, establishment year of our jewellery shop in Volos city ALEXANDRIDIS - Gallery KAPPA, our production and trade, had inspiration and influences from the Greek Art and Culture. Our passion for art, greek history and the greek culture, was the inspiration for the "Hellenic Neolithic Figurines". Our first ambition of our site, was to gather data, reports, scientific or empirical material, offering them for free to those who are interested of the great Greek Neolithic culture. From the early years of our great effort, we realized the enormity and importance of the whole Greek culture. Moreover apart from the importance we also realized the observed continuum in our culture till nowdays. That is why the "Greek Neolithic Figurines" widened in "Greek culture". Starting this dream of life, we started from our area, Thessaly in Greece. In this effort we invite everyone to participate. You are welcome with your opinion and we thank you for that.

From 1984 we started the first trial production of museum copies, inspired by the findings of our region, Thessally in Greece. We were honored with the cooperation and appreciation of Mr. Angelos Mpastis. We worked influenced by the great Greek researcher, collector, donor and sculptor, particularly with the Neolithic figurines of Thessaly. For twenty years, we recreated almost all of his findings. He gave us the exclusive rights of reproduction of sculptures and figurines. We are based in Volos of Greece. Our area and generally Thessaly, is very important worldwide during the Neolithic period. Close to our city you can find the settlements of Sesklo and Dimini.
